In celebration of the Saudi Flag Day Panda Achieves a Guinness World Records Title by Creating the Largest Mosaic Flag

In celebration of Saudi Flag Day, which falls on March 11th every year, Panda Retail Company has set a new Guinness World Record in creating the largest mosaic flag made from Panda water bottles. The celebration took place in its unique way by creating the largest mosaic flag, using the art of mosaics and utilizing the water bottles. The flag had an area of 172.86 square meters and used over 48,000 bottles. The achievement was officially recognized by Guinness World Records, and Panda Retail Company received a certificate for breaking the record, coinciding with the celebration of the nation's first Flag Day. Two days after the record was certified, Panda Retail Company donated all the bottles used in this project to the Eta'am (Saudi Food Bank).

On the occasion of the Flag Day, Mr. Abdullah Al-Sabban, the Chief Operations Officer, extended his congratulations and best wishes on behalf of all the company's employees to HRH Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, and the generous Saudi people. He expressed his pride in the day that commemorates the enduring legacy and achievements of King Abdulaziz Al Saud, may his soul rest in peace, particularly his selection of the national flag as the symbol of the country in its current form, in 1937.

Regarding the way Panda Retail Company celebrated this occasion, Mr. Abdullah Al-Sabban stated, "We wanted our celebration and interaction with this significant event, which is now recognized as one of the national days, to be extraordinary. Therefore, we aimed to document it by setting a world record in the Guinness World Records for the largest mosaic flag created using the art of mosaics. Moreover, what distinguishes this work is that it was made from Panda water bottles and displayed in one of our stores, as we wanted to engage with our customers and provide them an opportunity to express their feelings towards this important national occasion, which holds great significance and celebrates one of the most valued and respected flags in the world."
